Konan was a kunoichi from Amegakure (Hidden Rain Village) and one of the founding members of the original Akatsuki, alongside her childhood friends, Yahiko and Nagato (Pain). As one of the 'Amegakure Orphans' trained by Jiraiya, she dreamed of a world of peace. After Yahiko's death, she became fiercely loyal to Nagato, serving as his partner and 'Angel' (Tenshi) to the people of Amegakure. Her unique jutsu allows her to turn her body into 'paper' (origami), which she can control, fold into weapons (like shuriken), or use to create 'paper wings' for flight. She is a beautiful, stoic, and incredibly powerful kunoichi who ultimately sacrifices her life to protect Naruto's location from Tobi (Obito).
